About Us

The Cornwall Advertisers, part of the Tindle Group of Newspapers, have three titles – The North Cornwall Advertiser (established in 1986), covering the whole of the North Cornwall District Council area, and the Mid Cornwall Advertiser (established May 1994), covering the whole of Restormel District Council area and part of Carrick District Council including Truro. In addition, towards the end of 2008 we purchased the Cornwall Review which was established in 1978, a monthly free newspaper for tourists covering the whole of Cornwall from April to October.

Our policy is to ensure that the papers are entertaining and a useful source of information for all our readers, which will be kept around the home for the whole month. This is achieved with our layout, designed for easy local reference and many competitions as well as an informative and comprehensive Diary of Events and monthly Tide Timetables for each area. An attractive and interesting front cover encourages readers to keep it on the coffee table to dip into during the month, thus ensuring your advert will have a long and productive reading life.

We maintain at least a 40% editorial to 60% advertising balance ensuring the paper is read from cover to cover; a balance rarely achieved by any free paper (and few paid for papers, too!)

Being a monthly publication effectively quarters the cost of weekly advertising whilst giving the same coverage.

A considerable number of our advertisers have remained with us since the the first publication of each paper – a sure indication of the success they have enjoyed.
